Now, let’s dive into another review – the Vaporesso Luxe XR Max Kit CMF Version. My good friends at Sourcemore sent this device my way for the express purpose of providing you with this review.
To kick things off, let’s begin with some visual aids to give you a swift overview of the device I’ll be discussing today:
Unboxing and Initial Impressions:
Remove the plastic wrap, discard the outer sleeve, and voila! You have the contents of the box, including:
- 1 Vaporesso LUXE XR Max Battery
- 1 Vaporesso LUXE XR Pod (DTL)
- 1 GTX 0.2ohm Mesh Coil
- 1 GTX 0.4ohm Mesh Coil
- 1 Type-C Cable
- 1 User Manual and Warranty Card
The pod is properly wrapped on the left side. On the right side, a small flat box contains the Manual & Warranty Card. Removing this box reveals the spare coil and the Type-C charging cable.
The color of the pod I received is Glacier Blue, which looks quite appealing. However, the weight of the device itself impressed me. With a 2800 mAh battery, it has a substantial weight, providing a comfortable grip even for those with larger hands.
The 0.54-inch OLED screen appears somewhat small, requiring my reading glasses a couple of times. The Luxe XR Max also features 2 RGB LED Lights on each side of the screen. While aesthetically pleasing, there is an option in the menu to turn off the lights if preferred.
There are three buttons on the front – a physical fire button and tactile up and down buttons. The screen area offers a transparent view of some electronic components, adding a cool touch to the overall design.
Menu operation is straightforward:
- 5 clicks of the fire button to turn on/off the device.
- 4 clicks to enter the menu, allowing options such as LED control, Smart mode (automatically choosing the best wattage), resetting puff counter, and returning to the main screen.
- 3 clicks to adjust power using the tactile buttons, with LED indicators showing the battery level.
The airflow control, located on the side, offers adjustable settings, although a clickable feature would enhance precision. Refilling the cartridge is simple with a rubber tab on the bottom.
After five days of use, there were no leakage issues. The 0.2ohm coil provided satisfactory performance, and after switching to the 0.4ohm coil, I experimented with airflow and wattage to find the sweet spot.
Vaping Experience:
With the variety of coils and vaping styles (DTL, RTL, MTL) available, this pod device offers flexibility. The device’s battery life depends on factors like coil choice, wattage, LED usage, and puff duration. Charging takes approximately 90 minutes for a full charge.

Cons:
- Odd cartridge capacity issue

Recommendation:
The Vaporesso LUXE XR Max Kit is versatile, catering to various vaping preferences with its coil and cartridge options. Whether you’re a seasoned vaper or a beginner, this portable device offers a satisfying experience. While I didn’t test RTL or MTL cartridges, Vaporesso’s reputation suggests they would meet expectations.
